The Hub Club: Asperger's Support Group

Does your child have a diagnosis of Asperger’s or High-Functioning Autism?  Are they on the waiting list for diagnosis?  Do you feel they need support with socialising? Are you looking for support yourself?

Southend Borough Council’s Early Help Community Team, in partnership with SAFE (Supporting Asperger Families in Essex), have set up a group for young people with Asperger’s/High Functioning Autism and their families in Southend.

This project is currently open to young people aged 10-17 with a diagnosis of Asperger’s/High Functioning Autism, which aims to support them by providing a space where they can be themselves, practice social skills, and spend time relaxing and having fun. We also ask parents/carers to stay at the initial sessions and will provide support for you too.  Siblings are also welcome!

If you think your child and family could benefit, or if you would like more information, please contact Kate Pipe on katepipe2@southend.gov.uk to find out dates for 2018.
