Internet Safety

Visit the Think U Know website to find the latest information on the sites you like to visit, mobiles and new technology. Find out what’s good, what’s not and what you can do about it. If you look after young people there’s an area for you too – with resources you can use in the classroom, at home or just to get with it. Most importantly, there’s also a place which anyone can use to report if they feel uncomfortable or worried about someone they are chatting to online. All the information on the website is brought to you by the team at the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre.

For local enquiries or to report and incident contact Essex Police on 101. Watch the ‘Parents’ Guide to the Internet’, a TV-style programme available to view on this site. The programme will take an entertaining and light-hearted look at what it’s like to bring up children in the online world – featuring practical tips and amusing clips from some surprising sources! Tune in to learn more about what your child is up to online and how you can support them.
