What's New on the Local Offer:

Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Information Portal for Schools

Essex, Southend and Thurrock Councils have created a portal designed to find online material and content in supporting children and young people in education settings around emotional wellbeing and mental health.

The portal has information on a range of topics including, relationships, stress, anxiety & depression, risk taking behaviour and managing complex mental health conditions.

Mental health problems affect about 1 in 10 children and young people and are often a direct response to what is happening in their lives. It is important for young people to access the appropriate interventions at a sufficiently early age as this could have an impact on their emotional development and their futures.
