Southend's Children and Families Information PointSHIP Adults

There is a whole range of provision available for children under 5 years old within Southend!

Children aged between 0 and 4 years old often attend a childcare setting; this might be a pre-school, a child minder, a day nursery, or a nursery class within a school. These offer either full day or sessional care, based in a variety of settings or a home environment.

All early years settings have a special educational needs co-ordinator (SENCO) or inclusion lead, and they will share any concerns they have about your child with you.  If you are concerned about your child’s progress, speak with your child’s nursery/pre-school or teacher.
