Fantastic service and the best support ever

By Tessy

I contacted IASS for support and advice for my son. My son is in mainstream school, however due to his significant learning difficulties, lack of social and emotiontional skills, sensitivity to all his surroundings, cognetive difficulties etc, every day is a struggle for him.

He has had a EHCP in place for the past 18 months with 121 learning in school, however, even with this in place he is still really struggling, and causing him such high anxiety.

Seeing my son like this makes me feel so helpless. His massive struggles everyday and not being able to make it better for him, is one of the worst feelings for a mother.

I contacted IASS and I was put in touch with Trudi who gave me so much support and advice. Trudi also came and met with me at my sons school where we also met with the shcool SEN.

After this I decided to follow the advice given and with the support from IASS I have managed to get my son a place in a specialised setting to help support his needs in 6 months time.

I know this is not the end of my sons difficulties, but knowing that he will soon be getting the support and be in an environment that can meet his needs,  in the near future is something I never imagined would happen.

I do feel if I hadnt of contacted IASS I would never have got the support and advice from Trudi to be able to get this support for my son. A massive thank you to Trudi and the IASS team. Highly reccomend their support to anyone in a similar situation to ours.
