Most parents/carers struggle with parenting at some point. Some issues can be dealt with at home, however, there are numerous sources of support, advice, information and guidance available to help from birth to young adults.

Parenting Courses

Some Children's Centres and Schools offer parenting courses designed to help support you with caring for your child in relation to communication, discipline and healthy living. If you can't find a suitable course ask your child's school if they are running any sessions that may not be listed on our directory.

Early Help Family Support Assessment (EHFSA)

If you are struggling to meet the needs of your child or young person and have already tried accessing support through your local Children's Centre or child's school or setting then an Early Help Family Support Assessment  (often referred to as an EHFSA) may help to identify extra support from other services. You can also request and Early Help Family Support Assessment through the school, GP or Health Service.
