Accidents and emergencies are an unfortunate reality of everyday life. That’s why we make provisions to ensure residents of Southend have up to date information and advice about what to do in an emergency. In the first instance of any emergency, always call 999. There are ways of ensuring you are prepared in both the home and community should an accident or emergency occur. Learning First Aid Equipping yourself for an emergency is an excellent way of ensuring you are prepared to tackle a potentially life-threatening situation. The Red Cross offer first aid training courses, from beginner to advanced, and have a range of packages on offer. Southend Borough Council run courses for health and safety across a number of subjects, including Epilepsy training and resuscitation training.
