Child Vaccination

Discussion Group?

Event Date & Location – Wednesday 11th December, Southend, venue to be confirmed

Public Health England are setting up a discussion group in Southend and looking for parents of children aged 1-5 years that have had their children vaccinated as well as those that haven’t.   We particularly keen to hear from parents that have vaccinated their children but had concerns about it. We will be discussing vaccination in general, benefits and side effects.  The main part of the discussion will be looking at materials, vaccination invitation letters, leaflets that we send out and ways to improve them, and a couple of videos to get your views on as well.

Informal feedback from patients and GP practices has suggested that the wording and content of letters could be improved to encourage parents to vaccinate their children. We will use these ideas and suggestions to develop services that better meet the needs of parents and help them to make informed choices about whether or not to vaccinate their child.

Time:between school times depending on response.  The discussion will be for 2 hours

Payment: We appreciate your time and are happy to offer you a ‘thank you’ of £50 paid into your account after the discussion.
